SCOPE

The driving force behind this home renovation was creating a sense of tranquility. Hay Runner (formally Phi Builders + Architects) worked closely with the homeowner to bring that vision to life, moving walls and revamping all the interior finishes. The original layout had a large staircase that encompassed much of the downstairs, so we relocated the stairs to the back corner of the home and designed the first and second floors to have a more generous, open floor plan. In collaboration with the homeowner, Marcy van der Kieft from Margo Moore interiors brought in textures and patterns that felt warm and inviting — a departure from her previous, more formal residence. The result is a home that has been reimagined with sophistication and nuance that allows the owner’s personality to shine.
