Joe is the guy you pick first to be on your team! Joe is a proud purple heart recipient who has been refining his carpentry skills over the years with us. He is reliable, responsible, and willing to speak up for the team. Not only that, he has a great sense of humor! In his free time, he is always on the go with his best girl Bella and spending quality time with his children, family and friends.

Rachel’s woodworking career started with wooden boat building at The Apprenticeshop then moving on to furniture making at The Center for Furniture Craftsmanship. Don’t let this fool you though, she can do it all, a true ARTIST! In her free time, she reads, cooks, sings and gardens.

Proud Veteran, has a total love of the team, and is the glue of the team. Loves historical restoration, and prefers to preserve and not start over whenever possible… Dad and loves good music and cheer. Planted 200 tulips last year.

Hay Nick! It’s so nice to have someone with Nick’s thoughtful demeanor, talent and experience guiding some of our more complicated projects. We are grateful to have Nick on our team, managing in the studio and the field. Nick is truly a problem solver and we appreciate his CAN-DO way of working. When he isn’t running with the Hay Runners, he’s running about with his better half!

Kelsea Dunham
Business Manager
Kelsea is the master of spreadsheets and holds the keys to the “financial farm”. Any questions about billing and / or financial operations should be directed to this sweet thing! She’s… how do you say… “In the weeds” when it comes to our numbers, and can drill into any details we need to make sure all our questions are answered. When she’s not managing the numbers for Hay Runner, she is arm wresting for charity or throwing a wedding.

Ross brings a quiet strength to any project. He is trustworthy and responsible and a dad of three. He willing to step up and step out of his way to help the team. He was dedicated to helping us finish the Opera House on time by working nights and weekends with a small team.

Hay Alex! This guy brings so many talents to the table. Just look at that job title! Beyond work, Alex’s hobbies include fixing cars, sailing, sound engineering, theater and eating really good food.

Steve is a hands-on PM, armed with a tool belt, who loves to mentor up and coming carpenters by being patient and understanding. His quality of work is unmatched- perfectly aligned with Hay Runner’s vision. There’s not one problem he is afraid to approach head on. In his free time, Steve loves hanging out with his daughter, family and getting dirty!

He positive attitude is infectious and he brings it to the jobsite every day. He touches a little of everything and he moved here to be near his son - we certainly are lucky he did. Juan is also very involved in his church.

If work ethic had a leader, Tim would be it! Tim is a lifelong tradesman, bringing over 30 years of building experience to the table. If you have a problem, Tim is bound to come up with solution-and FAST. His ability to problem solve on the fly is one of his best qualities and brings great value to the Hay Team! If he’s not at work you can probably find him hunting, camping, working on a side project, or grilling and smoking some fantastic meat.

When Andrew isn’t running hay, he might be customizing the cab for his truck!

Often referred to as the “person you should talk to if you need something,” Ashley helps keep the Rockport office moving forward every day. While advocating for both our clients and staff, she tries to bring consistency to a constantly evolving trade. When not running hay, Ashley is gardening, puzzling, going to concerts, traveling, and spoiling her pup, Ginger.

Marc is a fifth-generation woodworker with a focus on historic restoration and preservation millwork. He is best known for his uncompromising quality and attention to detail, nothing to complain about there! When he’s not at work, you might find him on the water sailing, tending to his apple orchard or cooking up something delicious.

Hay Barry! If we could bottle up all that carpentry knowledge you’ve gained in your 40+ years of experience, we would all be taking a sip! He is a great mentor to have in the shop, teaching the new dogs some old tricks. Barry is equal parts kind, caring, generous and funny- in and out of the workplace. He is staying with us until retirement and we are happy to have him finish his career with the Hay Team!

Meet Becki, our talented Principal Designer and Procurement Specialist. With a passion for designing stunning kitchens, bathrooms, closets, and full interiors, she brings over two decades of experience to every project.
Based in the picturesque Westport Island, Becki enjoys life with her husband and their two youngest children. Family is important to her, and she takes pride in being a hands-on mom, while also cherishing the time spent with her two older children and their young families, who live nearby.
Becki’s expertise and dedication to creating beautiful, functional spaces make her an invaluable part of our team. We are excited to have her lead our design initiatives and inspire clients with her creative vision!

Meet Joe Sr., our General Construction Manager in Portland, with a passion for building lasting homes and memories. A true craftsman, Joe learned hands-on from the pros and now passes that knowledge to the next generation, believing the trades deserve respect. Known for never backing down from a challenge, Joe is a problem-solver, an amazing communicator, and a dedicated team player.
Outside of work, he’s a proud family man, married to his high school sweetheart for 32 years with 4 children and 3 grandkids who light up his life. Joe brings heart, passion, and expertise to every project, making him a client favorite! -
Nate Boggs
Project Manager
Nate, one of our dynamic Project Managers, joined our team in April 2024. With a solid foundation in architecture and a background in timber framing, he brings a deep understanding of structural design and construction to his projects. His ability to see the big picture and focus on the finer details makes him an invaluable asset to our team.
Outside of work, you can find him taking long walks in the woods with his dog, Enya.

Introducing Julie, our exceptional Interior Designer, bringing over 15 years of luxury residential and commercial design experience to our team. With a background as an artist and a trained designer, Julie is a highly conceptual thinker, passionate about shaping the built environment for both functionality and inspiring aesthetics.
Julie's comprehensive services include space planning, renovations, CAD drawings, mood boards, color palettes, and furniture/material advisement. Whether managing projects one-on-one, collaborating with existing teams, or handling the smallest tasks, Julie approaches every job with enthusiasm and expertise.
When she’s not in the studio, you might find Julie on a running trail or hanging out with her chihuahua pup!

In addition to her horticultural skills, Danielle serves as our executive assistant and office manager, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Her organizational prowess and positive attitude make her an invaluable asset to our team.
When she’s not nurturing plants or keeping our office in tip-top shape, you can find Danielle practicing yoga or spending quality time with her partner and their adorable cat, Parker.
