Here at Hay Runner Holdings, LLC and our affiliates (“Hay Runner,” “us” or “we”),  we are committed to protecting your privacy. This statement (“Privacy Policy”) sets forth Hay Runner’s policy and describes the practices that we will follow with respect to the privacy of our customers and the users of our website, www.hayrunner.com (“Website”). As a customer of Hay Runner, including use of our associated mobile applications (HouseCall Pro), you are covered under the Hay Runner Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy is designed to explain how we collect, use, share, and protect the personal information you provide us when you access our website, request our services, or engage with us on social media (collectively, our “Services”). It also describes your choices regarding use, access and correction of your personal information. PLEASE READ THIS PRIVACY POLICY CAREFULLY.

Our Website may provide links to other websites. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the content or practices of these other websites. Our provision of such links does not constitute our endorsement of these other websites, their content, their owners, or their practices. 1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU AND HOW WE COLLECT IT

We collect several types of information from and about users of our Service. 

  • Personal Information. Personal Information is information that can be used to identify you specifically, including your name, shipping address, email address, telephone number, or home address. This information is voluntarily submitted to us by you. Personal Information also includes Navigational Information or Payment Information where such information can directly or indirectly identify you as an individual.

  • Navigational Information. This refers to information about your browser type, referral source, length of visit, pages viewed, as well as your geographical location. Please see the "Use of Navigation Information" section below. 

  • Payment Information. Payment information includes information we collect and process from you when you schedule appointments using our online booking services. This includes credit card numbers and billing information, using third party PCI DSS-compliant service providers.

  • Sensitive Information. This refers to personal financial account information, Social Security numbers, passport numbers, driver's license numbers or similar personal identifiers, racial or ethnic origin, physical or mental health condition or information, or other employment, financial or health information. WE DO NOT COLLECT SENSITIVE INFORMATION.

  • Online Bookings Information. If you choose to book appointments online, we ask that you provide limited Personal Information, such as your name, address, telephone number and/or email address. Customers who use our Online Booking Services are obligated through our agreements with them, to comply with this Privacy Policy.

  • Public Forum Information. We offer publicly accessible message boards on social media. Please keep in mind that if you directly disclose any information through our social media platforms, this information may be collected and used by others. We reserve the right to delete or remove content we believe to be inappropriate or damaging to our business, our clients, or affiliated companies.

  • Information We Collect from Third Parties. From time to time, we may receive Personal Information about you from third party sources including voluntary surveys or engage in joint marketing activities, and publicly available sources such as social media websites.


2. How We Use Your Information 

We use the information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including Personal Information:

  • To provide you with the services and products you request.

  • To answer questions about our services, billing, payment methods, or use of our website.

  • To process or collect payments for our services. 

  • To conduct customer surveys.

  • To improve your browsing experience by personalizing our website and improving our Online Booking Service.

  • To send Hay Runner content to you which we think may be of interest to you by post, email, or other means and send you marketing communications relating to our business.

  • To promote the use of our services and share promotional content with you in accordance with your communication preferences.

  • To provide other companies with statistical information about our users.

  • To carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including for billing and collection.

  • To notify you about changes to our Service or any products or services we offer or provide though it.

  • In any other way we may describe when you provide the information.

  • For any other purpose with your consent.

We may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of external business partners about a particular offering that may be of interest to you. In those cases, we do not transfer your Personal Information to the third party.

Use of Navigational Information
There are two ways we use Navigational Information at Hay Runner. The first use of Navigational Information is to operate and improve our website. The second use of Navigational Information is to physically locate your home or business to conduct requested services. Hay Runner Handyman workers are required to communicate directly to customers using our affiliated App, Housecall Pro, using GPS tracking. This will allow customers to know precisely when workers or technicians will arrive at determined locations.

Use of Payment Information
Payment Information is used solely to collect payment from you for completed services. We use a third-party service provider to manage credit card processing. This service provider is not permitted to store, retain, or use the information you provide except for the sole purpose of credit card processing on our behalf.

Customer Testimonials and Comments
We post customer testimonials and comments on our Website, which may contain Personal Information. We obtain each customer's consent via email prior to posting the customer's name and testimonial.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not share Personal Information with any third parties except in the limited circumstances described below:

  • We may share Personal Information to fulfill the purpose for which you provide it.

  • We may share Personal Information with your consent.

  • We may share your Personal Information with our subsidiaries and affiliates.

  • We may need to share or provide information including Personal Information to contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business. In all cases where we share your information with such agents, we explicitly require the agent to acknowledge and adhere to our privacy and customer data handling policies.

  • We may share your Personal Information with a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of the Company's assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which Personal Information held by the Company about our Service is among the assets transferred.

  • To enforce or apply our Terms & Conditions and any other agreements, including for billing and collection purposes.

We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

In some states, applicable law may entitle you to:

  • Confirm whether we process your Personal Information. 

  • Access and delete certain Personal Information. 

  • Correct inaccuracies in your Personal Information, considering the information’s nature processing purpose. 

  • Data portability. 

  • Opt-out of personal data processing for: targeted advertising; sales; or profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. 

  • Either limit (opt-out of) or require consent to process sensitive personal data. 

To Unsubscribe from Our Communications
You may unsubscribe from our marketing communications by clicking on the "unsubscribe" link located on the bottom of our emails, updating your communication preferences, or by sending us email at hello@hayrunner.com. Customers cannot opt out of receiving transactional emails related to their account with us or the Subscription Service.


5. How We Protect Your Information

We have implemented reasonable measures designed to secure your Personal Information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, and disclosure.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee the security of your Personal Information transmitted to our Service. Any transmission of Personal Information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained in the Service.


6. How We Retain Your Information

How long we keep information we collect about you depends on the type of information we collect, and the current status of your account. We retain information that you provide to us where we have an ongoing legitimate business need to do so (for example, as needed to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements).

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your information, we securely delete the information. If it is not possible to delete stored information, we will securely store your information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible. We will delete this information at an earlier date if you so request.

If you have elected to receive marketing communications from us, we retain information about your marketing preferences for a reasonable period of time from the date you last expressed interest in our content, products, or services. We retain information derived from cookies and other tracking technologies for a reasonable period of time from the date such information was created.


7. Social Media Features 

Our website includes Social Media Features, such as the Facebook Like button and Widgets. These features may collect your IP address, which page you are visiting on our sites, and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Social Media Features and Widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our Websites. This Privacy Policy does not apply to these features. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy and other policies of the companies providing them.


8. How We Treat Information From Children Under the Age of 13

Our website is not intended for, or targeted at, children under 13. We do not knowingly or intentionally collect information about children under 13. If you believe that we have collected information about a child under 13, please contact us at hello@hayrunner.com, so that we may take immediate action to delete the information.


9. Changes to Our Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is periodically updated. When/if changes to Hay Runner’s Privacy Policy are significant, we will update this webpage and provide a more prominent notice by sending you an email notification. The date the privacy policy was last revised is identified at the top of the page. You are responsible for ensuring we have an up-to-date active and deliverable email address for you, and for periodically visiting our Website and this privacy policy to check for any changes.
